Things To Do
Old Village District
Known for its stately live oaks and historic houses, the roots of the Old Village of Mount Pleasant stretch back to the 18th century. Today, the charming neighborhood and small-town main street is a center for local events and home to vibrant independent businesses that provide a welcome alternative to the monotony of 21st-century chains and big-box shopping.
Patriot's Point
Find your sea legs at Patriots Point. Tour National Historic Landmark ships including the USS Yorktown, hear the stories of the country’s bravest men and women at the Medal of Honor Museum and visit the only replica Vietnam Naval Support Base Camp in the U.S.

Feeling super adventurous? The USS Yorktown also offers overnight experiences.
Alhambra Hall
A popular event venue for weddings and more, Alhambra Hall overlooks the spectacular Charleston Harbor.
This former Ferry Terminal is a popular spot for events and outdoor activities.
Enjoy a stroll on the grounds or, across the street, you will find a large playground and a restroom building.
Boone Hall
Explore Southern heritage in guided tours and travel through 300 years of history at the former cotton plantation.

An admission pass grants you access to the Avenue of Oaks, Plantation House Tour, Black History in America Exhibit, Plantation Coach Tour (weather permitting), the Gullah Culture live theatrical presentation, Butterfly Pavilion (late April thru September) and more!
Shem Creek
Flowing through the heart of Mount Pleasant, Shem Creek is known for it's waterfront view, bars, restaurants and intercostal adventures such as fishing, boating, paddle boarding, kayaking and more.
