Charleston has so much to offer both professional and self-proclaimed foodies. During Charleston Restaurant Week, run by the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association, Inc. (GCRA), residents and visitors alike have the opportunity to enjoy the world-renowned cuisine of the Lowcountry via prix fixe lunch and dinner menus. Much like choosing a favorite star in the sky, I’ve selected three of my favorite spots that will be participating in Restaurant Week along with one wild card that is not participating in Restaurant Week…BUT the food is so good, I just had to mention it!

Halls Chophouse Open Table 2017 100 Best Restaurants in America
3 Courses for $45
Simply put, Halls has the best steak money can buy you in Charleston and beyond. There are endless options as far as cuts, all of which are explained in great detail by their attentive and friendly staff. Halls is family owned and operated and has been a King Street staple since 2009, racking up endless awards and accolades within that time. Need help deciding what to order? I love the grass fed filet mignon with the pepper jack creamed corn skillet. Pay attention to their special menu for Restaurant Week, though, as options may be more limited than with their usual menu!
Kiawah Island
3 Courses for $40
From their 3-course Restaurant Week dinner menu, why not pull out all the stops for a traditional Lowcountry meal while enjoying sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean? Crispy shrimp followed by shrimp and grits (because you can never have enough shrimp) finished with white chocolate bread pudding should do the trick. Perhaps follow with a leisurely walk on the beach before retreating to your luxurious Charleston Island Rental vacation home.
Isle of Palms

Just typing out these four words made me want to jump in the car and run to Coastal Provisions – braised short rib poutine. And that is just to start! Try their braised pork osso bucco with the crispy brussel sprouts. So delicious and incredibly convenient if you are staying on Isle of Palms! Again, pay special attention to their Restaurant Week menu as options may be limited.
